More than 100 cannabinoids have been identified in the marijuana plant.
Of these marijuana molecules, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol
(CBD) have been studied most
extensively .CBD destroys breast cancer cells by down-regulating a gene
called ID-1, which is implicated in several types of aggressive cancer.
Silencing the ID-1 gene is, thus, is a potential strategy for cancer treatment. In 2007, McAllister published a detailed account of how cannabidiol kills breast cancer cells and destroys malignant tumors by switching off expression of the ID-1 gene, a protein that appears to play a major role as a cancer cell conductor.
The ID-1 gene is active during human embryonic development, after which it turns off and stays off. But in breast cancer and several other types of metastatic cancer, the ID-1 gene becomes active again, causing malignant cells to invade and metastasize. “Dozens of aggressive cancers express this gene,” explains McAllister.
He postulates that CBD, by virtue of its ability to silence ID-1 expression, could be a breakthrough anti-cancer medication.
if we can legalize it research can establish healthy doses for medication and preventative care. it is shiva prasad. mentioned in atharva veda along with tulsi. it is a super food a vegetable that grows free in nature.
dont ever mix with tobacco and the best health benefits are when you grind it and drink it like green juice. it is not psychoactive and has the best health benefits. heating it makes it psychoactive and creates euphoria but feeling euphoric once in a while is good for stress . it is proven science. knowledge established by our ancestors
by experimentation. it is called evidence based medicine. modiji legalize it please . it is ayurveda . this weed just needs a chance, it can help the nation. it heals. it is not meant for kids. use and never abuse. booom shankar !
